Who
is at Risk?
Everyone
is susceptible to skin cancer.
People with red or blonde hair, blue or light-colored eyes, and
fair skin that freckles or burns easily are at greater risk. Occupation,
lifestyle, and family history also contributes to the risk factor,
as does geographic location. People who live near the equator,
or in higher altitudes are exposed to higher levels of UVR.
Sun
Damage is cumulative. 10 minutes per day adds up.....
Exposing
your skin to UVR for only 10 minutes a day for one year is equivalent
to
sunbathing for 60 hours straight.
